We use a double opt-in procedure for newsletter sign-ups: after registering, you will receive a confirmation email and will only be added to our mailing list once you click the confirmation link. The following data is collected:

- First name (optional)
- Timestamp of registration and confirmation
- IP address at the time of registration

Data transfer to the USA: Mailchimp is based in the United States. The transfer of your data to the USA is carried out on the basis of EU Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR) and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (where Mailchimp is certified).
Mailchimp allows us to analyse newsletter campaigns, including whether and when an email was opened and which links were clicked. This data is used solely to optimise our newsletter.

7.1 Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland).
Google Analytics uses cookies to analyse user behaviour. The information generated is transmitted to Google servers. We have enabled IP anonymisation and have entered into a Data Processing Agreement with Google.
Data collected includes, among other things:

7.3 Independent Analytics
We use the WordPress plugin Independent Analytics for privacy-friendly visitor statistics. Independent Analytics:
- sets no cookies
- stores no IP addresses
- transfers no data to third parties
- processes all data exclusively on our own server in Germany
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in analysing aggregated website statistics)
As no personal data is collected, Independent Analytics does not require cookie consent.
8. Google Ads & Conversion Tracking
This website uses Google Ads and the associated conversion tracking code provided by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland).
When you reach our website via a Google ad and complete a defined action (e.g. app download, form submission), a cookie is placed on your device. This cookie allows us to measure the effectiveness of individual ads. The information stored is anonymised — direct identification of individuals is not possible.
